The Motorcaravanning Handbook is the fifth and by far the best book written by John Wickersham about motorhoming and caravanning that is published by Haynes.

This is a bang up to date, step-by-step guide to buying and using a motorhome, clearly explaining how things work and how to use them. Every page has colour photographs to help get the point across. Firstly the reader is shown what a motorcaravan is and then all the variations. Base vehicles and design & construction follow. General buying advice leads onto legal considerations. The middle of the book covers looking after your motorcaravan, where to go, useful accessories, towing and transport. The last half of the book covers in detail how everything in motorcaravan should work and how to use them properly. Gas water and electrical systems are fully explained providing the reader with a full lesson on use. Finally the book ends with servicing a motorhome and lay it up for the winter.

In short you should read this book if you’re new to motorcaravanning or you are going to change you motorhome. You will learn how everything works and how it is constructed.

What you won’t learn is why you should buy a motorhome and how too chose the right one, where to go to make the most of it and what to expect when you get there.
