Bord Atlas the Germany Aires Guide This is a German guide written in German, but is fairly easy to understand. Printed in full colour the German guide covers 3353 motorhome stopovers, most having colour photos. These motorhome stopovers are known as stellplatze in Germany and are extremely popular both with locals and visitors. Many of the stellplatze are free both to stop overnight and to use the facilities (dump stations). The stellplatze can be on the edge of German towns, by the Rhine or in the Black Forest. There are also a lot of restaurant and farm stopovers. One thing they all have in common is they are extremely convenient if you only want to stop a night or two.
Bord Atlas the Europe Guide This is a German guide written in German, but is fairly easy to understand. Covering 28 countries this guide is in full colour with about half the stopovers having photos. Bord Atlas has stopovers in some countries that are not listed in any other guide but for France it only has 395 aires and just 12 in Spain and Portugal.
How to use Reise Mobile Bord Atlas 2010
Common to both guides: Maps at the beginning of each section mark the stopovers with a red star, their identifying town name is printed alongside. The stellplatze are listed alphabetically by town name through the guide. Each stopover then contains the following information: Town name and postcode, address, identifying symbol (to show type – community stopover, restaurant, farm or discounted campsite), phone & fax number, email, web address, GPS co-ordinates in 51°13’28”N 2°55’12”E settings. The majority also include a colour photo. Then there is a description of the stopover including number of motorhome places, costs, maximum duration of stay and location. There are directions of how to find the stopover. Finally there are details of what can be enjoyed from the stopover under the headings: activities, food, and sports.
Big Motorhomes up to 12m There is a 12m symbol showing which stopovers can take large motorhomes and American RV's. Another symbol highlights those stellplatze that are located in town centres.
Who should buy this guide This guide is ideal for anyone wishing to travel in their motorhome or campervan in Germany, Austria and Eastern Europe. Bord Atlas is the best stopovers, stellplatze guide we have seen for Eastern Europe.
