The Fattore Amico guidebook is multilingual written in
English, Italian , French, and German. There is a multilingual key to symbols on p22. Regional maps identfy the stopover by number, so it is easy to find the details.
Stop for 24 hours for free. There is no financial or commercial obligation between the members of Fattore Amico and the hosts. You will not be charged to stay but clearly the sites have something to sell and you should support them when possible. You may genuinely not like the wine (or other produce) and are not obliged to buy but the next person to visit may love it and buy a case so it all works out in the end.
Directions Direction to the participating Fattore Amico farms and Vineyards in Italy are also Multilingual for example: From A5 exit Chatillon- St Vincent, SS26 in the direction of Aosta, after Km7; at Champagne Verrayes turn right, 3.5 km in the direction of Verrayes. Motorhome users (members) must adhere to the general rules which are a mixture of courtesy and respect for others, as laid out in the code of conduct.
Code of Conduct.
* Common sense and courtesy are important. Please accept any restrictions imposed. Fattore Amico hosts are not providing the service of a campsite.
* Arrive at the chosen site between 9.00am and 7.30pm, visitors turning up in the middle of the night will not be welcome. Some sites have gates that will be closed at night.
* On arrival at the chosen site show the Fattore Amico membership card for the current year to the host. Being farmers they are likely to be out working during the day, don’t worry park in the designated places and await their return. Hosts, for reasons of security, will only let identified members of Fattore Amico park overnight on their property.
* Remember you are not a paying client but a welcome guest. Be friendly, respect their wishes and thank your host on leaving. Sometimes either due to personal circumstances or all the spaces are occupied a host will be unable to accommodate visitors. In these circumstances you will have to visit an alternative farm or vineyard.
* To avoid inconveniencing the work of your host park only in the areas indicated by them.
* Fattore Amico hosts do not provide facilities for servicing motorhomes. So arrive with fresh water tanks full and waste tanks empty. Fattore Amico hosts do not charge for staying overnight so do not expect to find campsite facilities. Do not use site toilets, water taps or drains without the host’s permission.
* Never light fires or BBQs.
* The sites are working vineyards or farms, not children’s playgrounds. Ensure your children are behaving and kept in sight.
* If you have a dog please ask the host’s permission before letting it off the leash.
