Dusseldorf Caravan Salon 2026: The Greatest Motorhome show on earth

2026 - 28th August to 6th September Open daily Open Daily 10.00 - 18.00 hrs

If you thinking of going to the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf motorhome show, then think no more and start planning your trip now. This the launch show for the whole European camping industry. From concept campervans  and cavernous caravans all the latest designs are revealed. Anything, everything, and everyone is at Düsseldorf. We have been numerous times over the past 19 years and it never fails to impress.

The Show: Bigger Than Anything in the UK The Messe Düsseldorf exhibition is much bigger than any UK outdoor or NEC motorhome/caravan show you may have been to. The 17 halls (yes, 17!) surround a central outdoor area with many food vendors. The outdoor area is a useful cut through, and a good place to take 5 minutes to get some fresh air.

Camping at the Caravan Center Düsseldorf You might search for campsites near Düsseldorf but the closest is onsite and known as the Caravan Centre. 3500 motorhomes and caravans can be accommodated no matter how big or small.  Pleasant tree lined grassy areas with paved roads make up most of the area. There is a central complex with toilets, showers, food, bar and a 4 bay motorhome Service Point. Some portable toilets are around the outer edges. You don't get to choose where you are parked, in fact this is a speedy operation guided by surprisingly cheery people in yellow vests. This camping area creates a festival like experience with campers BBQing, sunbathing and enjoying themselves. It is worth going just to stay at the campsite! Alternative overnight parking nearby

Shuttle busses run to and from the show and campsite throughout the day.

8 Top Tips for Camping at Caravan Centre Dusseldorf

1. Book early To book the Caravan Center campsite, you must first purchase Caravan Salon tickets. Once your tickets are confirmed, the Caravan Center reservation link appears inside your Messe Düsseldorf ticket account. There is no public booking link.

2. Arrival times Campsite entry is between 7pm-10pm. Therefore plan to arrive as close to 7pm as you can and before 10pm. There will be a que.

3. Not in an LEZ The parking for the exhibition centre is not within the low-emission zone (umweltzone), so you do not need a low emission sticker. However if your vehicle is Euro 4 or better it makes sense to get a sticker. See our blog on German Low Emission Zones, and the map of the low emission zone for Dusseldorf: www.duesseldorf.de/kfz/feinstaub

4. The Service Point is on the left near the entrance as you drive in. If you need to service leave the que and do this before parking. Your WC tank can be walked to the Service Point but this is the only place to use a drive over drain. There are no water taps in the camping area. During the day it is possible to drive around the block and service.

5. Your camping reservation will be checked and you will be directed to parking, where you will parallel park alongside trees.

6. Quiet time onsite is between 10pm to 7am, but be warned loud planes will be flying overhead from 6am! Dusseldorf Airport is very close to the show.

7. Shuttle busses run from the Caravan Centre to the show from 8.30am-7.30pm. The journey takes about 5 minutes.

8. Food and drink There are food outlets and a bar at the Caravan Centre during the evenings. We recommend that you come fully prepared to sustain yourselves during your stay.
