Our Aireheads, customers just like you, reinspected 452 French Aires this year and inspected 80 brand new Aires too. Incidentally, they all went to the Med to escape the rain.

What happened to the 6th editions?
In 2007 we published the 1st edition of All the Aires France. We published 4 editions as single books and 5 editions as a double books. That makes 9 editions. We polled our customers on May Day and 65% of 494 customers said they would be happy with a single book if it cost less. We decided to call it the 10th edition.

I originally had the 4th edition then upgraded to the north and south edition but this is the best edition yet. It is clear and concise and the addition of an extra photograph is brilliant. I have compared the aires that I know and recognise everything

Making stops easy.

Another comprehensive offering from Vicarious apart from details of the wide variety of service pillars and service points that motorhomers may encounter.
Having all regions bound into one volume has resulted in an unwieldy tome which we find difficult to manage on-the-go.

After buying 'All the Aires of France' 2nd edition many years ago, I thought we better update it. The latest 10th edition is amazing, so many more Aires now, clearer pictures and descriptions, well worth the small investment. Thank you Vicarious Books.

Not up to date

I have a special place I like to visit in france. In 2024 they closed the big aire, so disappointed but there was another close by. I updated my aire books for 2025 but the closed aire was still shown as open. This does not leave me with a great deal of confidence that other aires in the book may be closed.

This entry, in the 10th edition book, states that it was updated in 2023. It is not possible for us to remotely check all 4000 Aires in France shortly before going to press. We sent the files to the printer in September. In this instance, google maps shows the aire to be closed in July 2024, we do not know the exact closing date.
Pre covid, Meli and I drove on average 17,000 miles per year in Europe inspecting Aires, but that is no longer viable. Thankfully, an ever-growing community of enthusiast motorhomers are driving out of their way to inspect aires for free.
If anybody wants to fill their time, could they please remotely check the aires and we will put the updates on our updates page. No you won’t get paid but you could earn the prodigious title of Aire Head.
