Speed of Delivery and Dispatch Methods All orders are processed as quickly as possible. Stock items are normally posted the same working day up to 14.30hrs or the next working day. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, Public Holidays and a period over the Christmas/New Year holidays. Goods are sent via Royal Mail who request 14 days for UK delivery and in addition we maintain our right to deliver within 30 days. Goods purchased on pre-order are dispatched as quickly as possible once they are received, inspected, and packed. Published availability dates are estimates; we are reliant on other companies and sometimes this causes delays. We maintain our right to deliver goods on pre-order within 30 days of delivery to us.

Delivery Address not your Card/Home Address We are happy to send your goods to any address that you provide, but if you choose a delivery address other than your registered card/home address and the goods are not received, we will not issue a refund, provide any compensation, or resend the goods without further payment. This includes any goods that go missing that were sent to PO Box addresses or using Royal Mail redirection services.
If Royal Mail returns goods (not delivered) back to us, we will issue a refund for the value of the returned goods minus the postage and packing costs incurred by us. Due to our pricing policy, the postage and packing costs may not be displayed on your order, invoice, our promotional material, or our internet sites.

Incorrectly Provided Delivery Address
We are happy to send your goods to any address you provide. (Please also see Delivery address not your Card/Home Address above). If you provide a delivery address with incorrect details that causes goods to not be delivered to the desired destination, we will not issue a refund, provide any compensation, or resend the goods without further payment.
If Royal Mail returns goods (not delivered) to us, we will refund the value of the order minus the postage and packing costs incurred by us. If you require your order to be resent you will be required to pay the actual delivery costs of resending your item. Due to our pricing policy, the postage and packing costs may not be displayed on your order, invoice, our promotional material, or our internet sites.

UK Delivery All UK orders are sent via Royal Mail Second Class unless you have selected and paid for First Class post.
All Royal Mail Second Class postage and packing costs are included in the price for UK orders, with the exception of the ACSI Camping Card which incurs a postage charge. We would advise that packages sent by this method usually take two to four working days from dispatch. First Class postage is available at the point of order and is charged at 50p per item. In exceptional circumstances delivery may take up to 14 days, but we maintain the right to deliver within 30 days. We do not offer delivery via any other courier.

Europe and Worldwide Delivery All deliveries outside of the UK are sent Air Mail. You will be charged shipping at the cost for each item ordered based on its weight. Orders will not be processed if the shipping cost has been incorrectly selected. Goods delivered by Air Mail to European destinations arrive within 7 to 21 working days of dispatch and within 12 to 30 days of dispatch for the rest of the world. We regret that we do not post to the US due to ongoing customs issues.

Delivery to Spain Correct postcodes are very important in Spain, so ensure that you have a full and correct postcode for your delivery address (XXXXX). Also, if you are having something posted to a campsite, please include the campsite name as this will be instrumental in making sure your delivery gets to the right place. Sometimes books are held at the local sorting office and must be called for, although they may not inform you that this is the case, so check the surrounding area and the local sorting office periodically when you are expecting a delivery. Delivery to Portugal Postcode is very important in Portugal, so ensure that you have a full and correct postcode for your delivery address (XXXX-XXX). Also, if you are having something posted to a campsite, please include the campsite name as this will be instrumental in making sure your delivery gets to the right place. Sometimes books ordered to remote addresses will be delivered to the nearest large building, so make sure you check the surrounding area and the local sorting office periodically when you are expecting a delivery. VAT - TAX (TVA - IVA) Vicarious Media Ltd is a UK VAT registered company GB205532638. The prices displayed on this website are inclusive of UK VAT where applicable (books are currently zero-rated). Customers ordering goods for delivery outside of the UK will be responsible for payment of any local taxes, as well as UK VAT, and will be required to pay any extra for delivery and clearance where necessary.

Customs Charges Goods ordered for delivery outside of the UK may be subject to import duties and taxes once the goods reach the country of destination. By placing an order, you agree to pay any charges levied in relation to customs clearance and you accept that Vicarious Media Ltd has no control over additional charges in relation to customs clearance. Vicarious Media Ltd recommends that you check with your local customs officials or post office for more information regarding importation taxes/duties that may be applicable to goods ordered. By ordering here, you will be the importer and will be responsible for the record and for any import tax and duty that needs to be paid.

Returns, Replacements and Refunds Goods no longer wanted Distance selling regulations give you the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods. However, this right does not apply to certain items, such as computer software once the security seal has been broken, personalised products, or perishable goods. 

If you wish to cancel your order using this right, you must inform us within 14 days from receipt of goods. You must take reasonable care of the goods and deliver them to us within 14 days of of notifying us of your order cancellation. Unwanted goods are to be returned at your own expense. Goods must be packed in adequate packaging to protect them from damage during transit and accompanied by a copy of the delivery note or receipt. The return address is Vicarious Media, Unit 1 North Close Business Park, Shorncliffe Industrial Estate, Folkestone, Kent, CT20 3UH. We will not consider that you have taken reasonable care of the goods if they get lost or damaged in transit or they have been used in a way, or to an extent, beyond what would be reasonable when examining the goods in a shop before purchase.
We have 14 days from receipt of goods to issue a refund. This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.
The above does not apply to purchases made in person at Unit 1 North Close Business Centre or at exhibitions. Returns on purchases made in person or return requests made after 14 days of receipt (distance selling regulations) are accepted at the discretion of Vicarious Media.

Damaged, Faulty or Incorrectly Supplied Goods Goods that are damaged in transit, are faulty, or incorrectly supplied by us are to be returned to Vicarious Media Ltd in their original packaging within 14 days of receipt. Please contact us for our Freepost address. Once the item(s) are received by us, we will either replace the item(s) or issue a refund for the value of the goods and any postal charges limited to Second Class or Airmail. Please state which option you prefer with your return notice.

Whether you require a replacement or refund, we will wait until we receive the item(s) from you before dispatching a replacement or issuing a refund.
Vicarious Books will check all items returned as damaged or faulty. In the event that we find no fault, we reserve the right to recover our fees and expenses from you.

Undelivered Items Goods maybe posted in separate envelopes, therefore orders with two or more items may arrive on different days.

Very few of our goods are reported not to reach their destination (less than one in a thousand) and invariably these eventually turn up or are returned to us.
Royal Mail requests 14 days for delivery to UK addresses. 21 days for European destinations and 30 days for the rest of the world. 
If your goods have not been received within the above time frames please contact us via our Contact form or write to Vicarious Media, Unit 1 North Close Business Centre, Shorncliffe Industrial Estate, Folkestone, Kent, CT20 3UH to request the items to be resent and we will investigate your order. Depending on the results of our investigation, we may resend your item(s), subject to stock, or issue a refund. No replacement goods or refunds will be given after 30 days of us sending an auto-generated order complete invoice email if no contact has been made before the 30th day. In addition, see Delivery Address not your Card/Home Address and Incorrectly Provided Delivery Address above.

In the situations where goods were posted to the correct address, but were not received and we have dispatched replacements or issued a refund, we will place a claim with Royal Mail. Royal Mail may wish to contact you. Should the original goods subsequently turn up they must immediately be returned to Vicarious Books, Unit 1 North Close Business Centre, Shorncliffe Industrial Estate, Folkestone, Kent CT20 3UH. 

Termination of Contracts This contract will end 15 days after the delivery of your goods, unless you contact us about returns or replacements within 14 days of receipt of the goods.

Returns Policy for Business Customers

Our standard Returns Policy does not apply to those customers who purchase items for business use, resale or on a Business Account. Please see your individual contract.
