The 2022, 6th edition of All the Aires Spain and Portugal is significantly updated and many new Aires have opened. Spain has opened 50% more Aires and closed 12. The vast majority of existing Aires have been reinspected or updated in both Spain and Portugal. We have kept the familiar, user-friendly layout for all of the Aires and Service Point sections. Service Point only locations are now Identified on the maps with an S in front of the number, S1.. This is the same in All the Aires France North and South books
We have removed the Campsites and Closed Aires sections to make space and simplify the guidebook. We improved the layout and page titles of the supplementary pages, Index, LPG etc. for ease of navigation and use.
Perhaps the most important change is the effort made to encourage users to provide updates whilst they travel. Why? Because there are now over 5000 Aires in France, Spain and Portugal, far too many for the Vicarious team to inspect alone.

How does this motorhome stopover guidebook work?
All the Aires Spain and Portugal is an A5 paperback book with 464 full colour pages and a durable, laminated cover. The cover has foldouts front and rear with the same but smaller scale mapping as the free fold out Aires Map. The foldouts can be used to mark pages, but also have a key to the symbols in six languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French and German.
Each inspected Aire has three accompanying colour photos, concise directions with road names, numbers and postcodes. GPS coordinates (POIs) in format: N51°04.798' E001°08.331' were taken on site. See our blog that explains how to input the correct coordinates into your satnav

Where are the best Aires in Spain and Portugal?
Choosing the right Spanish or Portuguese Aires has never been easier. Service points and parking areas are described, and comments about desirability refine your search. Local amenities and attractions are identified and commented upon. Distances are recorded from nearby towns, shops and restaurants, green spaces for exercising dogs and children, opportunities for fishing, walking, cycling, and local places of interest.
