Where are the best Aires around Amsterdam, Flanders and near Wiltz?
Wouldn't it be great if you knew someone who had been to every Aire in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. You could ask them, what are the best stopovers and which should I avoid? What shops are nearby and is there anything interesting to see? You probably have a thousand other questions to ask us so, buy the book, put the kettle on and we will show and tell you everything you want and need to know.
How many Aires in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands?
This edition was published in April 2016 but we have a free list of updates. The guidebook details 329 motorhome and campervan stopovers in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. 100% of the Aires included in this guide were inspected during the late summer/early autumn of 2015 by Meli and Chris, the editors of this guide and directors of Vicarious Media. They drove all over inspecting new Aires and respecting stops from previous editions.
In addition, the addresses, coordinates and directions for 428 LPG autogas stations are included for all three countries.
All the Aires Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands is laid out in 11 sections:
- Introduction
- Aires Belgium (127)
- Aires Luxembourg (12)
- Aires Holland (190)
- Day Parking (8)
- Motorway Service Points (3)
- Closed Aires
- LPG Belgium (207)
- LPG Luxembourg (12)
- LPG Holland (206)
- Index (alphabetical by town name)
How does this motorhome stopover guidebook work?
All the Aires Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands is an A5 paperback book with 224 full colour pages and a durable, laminated cover. The cover has foldouts front and rear, these can be used to mark pages but also have a key to the symbols in five languages: English, Spanish, Italian, French and German. For ease of use, mapping on the inside covers also shows the locations of the Aires across the three countries, so you don't always have to use the large foldout map.
127 Aires are listed in the Belgium Aires section.
12 Aires are listed in the Luxembourg Aires section.
190 Aires are listed in the Netherlands Aires section.
Each inspected Aire has three accompanying colour images, concise directions with road names, numbers and postcodes, and GPS coordinates (POIs) in format: N51°04.798' E001°08.331' taken on site. To assist you in choosing the right Aire, service points and parking areas are described, and there are comments about desirability and local amenities including information on: distances to nearby towns, shops and restaurants, green spaces for exercising dogs and children, opportunities for fishing, walking, cycling, and local places of interest.

All the Aires Locator Map
Due to insufficient stock we can no longer give them away with every book. The foldout map details the locations of the 329 Aires on one side and 428 LPG stations on the other. It allows you to see the entire region at a glance and highlights all the main routes, making it easy to plan your journey or find a nearby overnight stop, Service Point or LPG outlet. Different coloured boxes differentiate the countries and black or red borders around the boxes denote whether a stopover has service facilities or not. The route planning map is meant to be used in conjunction with the guide only.
